LACASA is more than a safe house

In this episode of Connection Complete we sit down with LACASA’s Community Education and Volunteer Director, Nicole Matthews Creech, & Kayla Grant, Youth Prevention Services Coordinator. What began as a grassroots organization against spousal abuse has become so much more today. You can think of LACASA as the safe house, providing a long list of services that help men, women, and children in abusive situations.

We learn what sexual assault is, as well as its opposite- consent. We’re also made aware of the various services that LACASA offers the community, going into much detail about their very exciting Youth Prevention programs. We ask a really tough question: how do we have a conversation about consent and sexual assault with our young people? Finally we bust a sexual assault myth, & learn what student advocates say about the issue. In today’s world, this is an episode you don’t want to miss!  Click here to watch the interview.
